-she Breathes-

Ok ok. i know it's been along time since i posted. Things in my life have just been too busy for me to sit here and think of anything worth writing. So for now i'll just post a short little note.

Things have been a little rough since Christmas. Cash flow a wee bit tight so i've been working on that. Then at the same time i found out my grandfather was dying. ASL or Lou Gerrick's Disease as its commonly known. To say i was stunned is an understatement. This man had always been larger then life to me. Always very physically fit and active. Knee replacement and hip replacements couldnt stop his daily walks. It did stop his jogging, soccor and rugby playing, but not his walking. Lou Gerrick's took care of that.

He passed 4 days after my 30th birthday on Feb. 8th 2007. i didnt get to see him before he passed. i hadnt seen any of my family for 2 years until i heard of this. My mother told me she didnt want me to see him that way. Perhaps she was right. i try to remember him as the active and to me at least, terrifying man he was. Not wasted and unable to even speak. It makes me so mad to know that while the disease distroyed his body, his mind was as sharp as it had always been. i know it must have made him mad as hell to have to depend on others to look after him. It would make me mental as well. Perhaps i get that from him.

And so i saw my family for the first time in 2 years at his funeral. It was a beautiful service with my eldest uncle giving the eulogy.

Other then fighting off a nasty cold for the last week i really cant think of much else to say at the moment. i'm just not used to blogging anymore it seems. Give me time and hopefully i'll think of something more interesting to write about.

Until later.

Always His angel[IW]
